All things work together for good

The word warns us about false prophets and that we need to be able to recognize them. 1 John 4:2 says " every spirit that acknowledges that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God, but every spirit that does not acknowledge Jesus is not from God." 2 Peter 3:18 also says " but grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ."

I believe that Spirit knows spirit and that when you are well steeped in God's word you will be able to recognize those who are uttering lying divinations. You see, there is a difference between preaching the gospel hypocritically and distorting the gospel. John Piper says it best, he says we should be more agitated when the gospel itself is defective than when people who preach the true gospel are defective. Boom! 👊

Now here's the crazy good part, God can and will use both for his glory! " so long as in every way, weather in pretense ( for self-promotion) or in all honesty ( to spread the truth), Christ is being preached; and in this I rejoice." Philippians1:18
