Be broken before God
" my only sacrifice acceptable to God is a broken spirit" Pslam 51:17
There is nothing we can offer God to soothe him when we have sinned. Nothing that will make him just "get over it". We can't just clean up our act, pray more, or suddenly begin to be nice to others. That's not at all what God wants. Because you see, we may sin against others but like David said in verse 4 of Psalm 51, "against you, only you, have I sinned and done what is evil in your sight". Meaning when we sin it's in total violation of God's very nature!! (Shout right here)💃💃💃
What God wants is reconciliation. Talk to him about how bad your sin is. Cry out and ask for forgiveness. God requires true repentance. Don't try to excuse, rationalize, or Justify the sin away. That will never help you find your way back into God's presence, but when you humble yourself and throw yourself on the mercy of God it is then and only then that he will lift you up! God promises that he will hear us and forgive. (1 John 1:9)
So there you have it. Make your acceptable sacrifice a True Heart repentance!
