The Fruit of the Vine Honors God
There are two types of branches in the Vine. The one that believes for a time. They say that they are believers but truth be told, they are believers by profession only, keeping up appearances, become church goers, etc. These are the unfruitful ones.
Then we have the other type. These branches are truly and savingly in Christ. their roots run deep in him. Now let's not get it twisted, their pruning does not come without some afflictions and temptations but because the Vine, Christ fills them with the fruits of the spirit, grace, and righteousness, they can bring forth more fruit. These are the fruitful ones.
Here is the tea for today: It is not ENOUGH that a believer exercises grace, and do good works in the now! He must remain constant and fruitful, not unfruitful and barren, when it comes to the knowledge of Christ. Remember, we are implanted in him, the "Vine"!
