You are Cordially Invited!

I can remember, many moons ago, when I was in high-school, it was during basketball season and we(E.O. Panthers) would play Orange high-school. It was the highlight of the school year. We would get up extremely early in the morning to stand in a very long line in all sorts of weather just to get the "golden ticket" to that game. Now, there was no guarantee you would get a ticket because seating was limited.  You could stand in that line for hours only to be told "sold out"😒 there was a mixture of excitement and anxiety all at the same time. 

Today, we no longer have to stand in those long lines, you just have to have a quick texting trigger finger to obtain tickets to that popular concert, play, or game. Within seconds things could sell out!

I say all of this to say, check out 2 Peter 1:3. I chose the MSG version for this one. It talks about being invited in to have a personal and intimate relationship with Jesus! And that's not all, then we're given the "golden ticket ", free admission to participate in the life of God. Not just sit on the side lines as a spectator but full on action, day by day, step by step engagement with our daddy God!💃🏾💃🏾💃🏾

We don't have to wait in line, we don't have to feel anxious that we won't get our time in with Him, we are freely given this wonderful opportunity! Why not take it? Like the MSG version says, it's the best invitation ever!

Let me encourage you today, if you don't know Him, know that you now, and will always have a free invite into getting to know Him. And if you've already accepted the invitation, continue to connect,  spend time, and build a relationship with Him. Let Him love on you! Don't cost you nothing but it's worth everything!
